How do we spend each second of our life? We must always think that a time spent is gone forever. In order for us to accomplish the things that we have to do and finish, here are the things we need:
a. Bible
b. planner
c. action
The Bible is our guide to think well. Bible principles are God's standards that we have to follow so what we do is something pleasing to the Lord. We may not be perfect--as what we know so well--but the Bible is something to read to help us be somebody we can't be.
David was a shepherd. Who would have thought he would be a king? David was the second king of the United Kingdom of Israel after King Saul.
Whenever I read the life of David or anything about him, I imagine the days he was in pasture leading the sheep. I wonder what he would do if it would rain, or when darkness covered his pasture. When one sheep was lost or suffering, or dying... I try to imagine how he led his sheep that made him an effective king of Israel.
His thoughts and wisdom from God is a source of strength, inspiration and revival to many Christian leaders. I think, there's no great Christian leader who doesn't know this:
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters,
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the path of righteousness for His name's sake
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me.
Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
--Psalms 23
God will use our talents, strengths, weaknesses and failures for his glory. We should let Him. Just like David, he was a great shepherd and now we benefit from his life. His ancestor was Rahab who was a prostitute. David himself had an affair but then, God still used both of them.

This world is in darkness.
We have to stand for a change. We must be the change we want to see in this world, as one famous line goes. The Bible is our tool to do our task of bringing light in this world.

We have to be focused on thinking that we are the salt and light. It is a big responsibility. It is actually a very tough job. Being a missionary or volunteer of the Great Commission is the hardest job a person could volunteer about. It is harder than being a CEO.
What all Jesus did was just to spread His Word but a CEO can lead a corporation and still do something for God.
Being a Christian, spreading the Word are two things very hard to do. Many Christians just attend the church--that's an easy thing. Attend and volunteer in a church ministry is a little bit harder. Being a church volunteer plus sharing the Word to attendees is definitely hard. Then there are more until we satisfy ourselves of doing our part as a bold, brave and roaring Christian. Doing them while doing our daily tasks, chores, responsibilities plus minding and caring for the people dear to us could make these things even more complicated.
Here's where the importance of planning takes in. So we need a Planner.
Planning is essential in anything we do. One famous line goes, "If we fail to plan, we plan to fail."
Planning needs actions. Don't plan something we would not execute or else we would just waste our time.
End goal is an essential thing to be cleared on our mind in planning. There must be product. End result. Planning about the different concerns of our lives have different approaches. Basically and in general, we just have to look at the end goal. If we don't think about the end goal, we would make ourselves tired--after all nothing will happen in the end.
I am an English teacher but I teach Science in our school. Books of high school have topic about the Scientific Method. Those books have different approaches to executing this method. Their similar concept goes:
1. Know and define the problem
2. Research
3. Make an intelligent guess or hypothesis
4. Conduct experiment/s
5. Record data
6. Analyze the data and result
7. Draw conclusion
Business people have different approaches to planning and executing their plans. Here's a sample:
1. What are the objectives?
2. How much is the probable budget?
3. What is the investment style?
4. What is the time frame(analysis of ROI)?
5. What is the end result?
The first thing business people think about are the objectives since there is a crucial thing involved in it. MONEY. Though different business people have different approaches to planning and execution, for sure, business people have in common--thinking about the END RESULT.
The Bible is a strong evidence that God has a perfect plan for us. He knows what He is doing. He knows where we are going.
HEAVEN or HELL.
He already gave us the story of the world from Adam and Eve up to the end times. It's narrated in the Bible.

Paul wrote in Philippians 3:14, "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
